Pennsylvania, Maine, Kentucky, Arkansas, Michigan, Virginia, and New Jersey showcased state-wide talent and its state championship. Many state records fell over the weekend and there were plenty of stand-out performances.
At the VHSL 6A State Championships, Austin Gallant of Battlefield cruised his way to a US No. 2 performance in the 500m while finishing fourth in the shot put.
Even though most state championships have concluded, doesn't mean the indoor season came to an end.
At the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational, there was another national record that fell. Juliette Whittaker of Mount De Sales Academy rewrote the record books in the 1K and became the first female athlete to break 2:40 in high school history in this event.
