A high-flier took top honors in the most recent National Boys Performer of the Week.
Madison Central (KY) junior Wyatt Stewart earned over 35-percent of the Week 7 vote following his new national-leading clearance of 17 feet, 7 inches in the pole vault at the Eastern Indoors Invitational.
His win also marked the second time a pole vaulter took winning honors during NPOTW voting.
Southern Boone's Connor Burns was second in the voting with over 27-percent of the tallies.
A big congrats goes out to Stewart on the win, and to all the other nominees.
We will recognize a winner every week in this poll, with nominations handed out on Monday. The poll will end on Friday and winners will be announced the following Monday.
Winners and gear from the previous National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance series -- dating back to July 12 -- are still being processed. We have kept track of your information and will email you once the New Balance order goes out. Stay tuned!
