Capturing the best stories in track and field.

That's always been our mission here at MileSplit, and over the calendar year of 2021 we had the opportunity to tell quite a few of those narratives.

For the first time, we developed a series based on MileSplit archival footage and produced The Class of 2016, an examination into the best track and field recruiting class since the turn of the century. It published ahead of the Tokyo Olympics and featured seven Olympians, four of which won medals at the Games.

In July and August, we told stories of loss and hope and brilliance at the AAU Junior Olympic Games. On top of all that, MileSplit's Olivia Ekpone continued her series with athletes, as the Texas A&M graduate and multiple-time All-American analyzed race videos. The MileSplit Network also produced great features of their own.
