Davis' resume is quite impressive.
The University of Florida signee was U.S. No. 3 in the 400m last indoor season. In 2019, she was the Pan-American U20 champion in the 400m with a time of 51.61 seconds and was also the USATF U20 Champion.
In that same year, she was the New Balance Nationals Outdoor champion with a 51.17 personal best.
As she walks into the Virginia Beach Sports Center for the first time this year, she will also compete in the 500m.
When she was a freshman, Davis ran a personal best of 1:11.90 in that distance. It will be one of the best races of the weekend as she will compete against the talented Sophia Gorriaran in this event.
The last time Davis faced Gorriaran was at the Grant Holloway Holiday Invitational in 2020. Davis won the 400m in 54.58, while Gorriaran finished a second in 55.50.
