Rogers, Parkeh Shine Under The Lights
Herscher (IL) senior Drew Rogers won his sixth straight race on Wednesday under the lights at the Naperville Twilight Invitational, posting a time of 14:48.10 for three miles.
But what's quasi-interesting is that Rogers hasn't even had his best race yet.
And yet, he continues to record win after win after win.
At some point, though, the Missouri commit will face exactly that: A competitor or competitors who could potentially take Rogers toward a new best, or even the race of his career.
Until then, he remains one of Illinois' top draws.
Meanwhile, Chicago Latin's Ava Parekh posted her third win in four tries, brushing off a runner-up performance at Roy Griak on September 24.
Parekh was just four seconds shy of her own career best at three miles, finishing with a time of 16:31.20.
"It was so nice to finally be at a cool race and the weather was amazing," she said. "I was excited to be under the lights and have a chance to race here."
