There's no doubt that Hobbs Kessler has been having a dominant senior year. Over the last two months, Kessler raced to the indoor national record in the mile and the US No. 4 all-time in the outdoor 2-mile.

At the USATF Grand Prix at the Oregon Relays on Saturday in Eugene, he added another all-time performance to his name.

In the 1500m, the Northern Arizona University signee finished sixth behind Australia's Ollie Hoare and USA's Donavan Brazier. Kessler crossed the finish line in 3:40.46 with a blazing final lap of 56.06.

That's No. 3 in history, only behind Alan Webb and Jim Ryun.

Kessler was 2.20 seconds off Alan Webb's record of 3:38.26 which was set back in 2001. Webb, Ryun and Kessler are the only three athletes in history to break 3:41 in the 1500m in high school.
