Two big race efforts led to record runs on Friday at the Flashes Showcase Miracle Mile in Indianapolis.
Highland senior Lucas Guerra (above) and Fort Wayne Carroll senior Zoe Duffus both recorded meet records and state-leading runs at the mile, with Guerra registering a personal record and US No. 7 time of 4:09.13, while Carroll followed with a career best effort and US No. 3 time of 4:45.95.
Duffus, a Penn State signee, entered into the top five performances in Indiana history, securing the No. 3 fastest performance at the distance ever. The Georgetown recruit Guerra, meanwhile, was No. 14 all-time.
