In our first NPOTW recognition for the 2021 outdoor season, the winner was actually an athlete who had such a big indoor performance we had to put him on the first outdoor poll.
That athlete was West Albany's (OR) Aiden Paul. Paul threw 76-2 in the weight throw at a Super Throwers Track Club meet, finishing the campaign at US No. 3 and with a new all-time Oregon record.
That was good enough to net him exactly 275 votes or just a little over 64-percent of the total vote.
A big congrats goes out to Paul on the honor.
We'll have seven candidates in this week's poll. With the indoor season still coming to a close, we will continue to nominate a few athletes with performances fitting of the recognition.
Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. For reference, check our Top 25 Outdoor Performances of the Week as well as the Head Of Class Rankings. You can also vote in our National Girls Performer of the Week poll.
