Run U Xpress' Shawnti Jackson dropped a new US No. 1 time of 23.53 seconds in the 200m on Sunday at The 757 Showdown in Virginia Beach, Virginia, entering into elite company: The mark stands at No. 20 all-time for high school performances.
And it's just 0.29 seconds off the indoor 200m sophomore national class record of 23.24 seconds, which is held by Tamari Davis, who last accomplished the feat in 2019.
Jackson's mark adds to her already impressive indoor season. She also owns a US No. 1 time of 7.34 seconds in the 60m and is US No. 2 in the 55m (6.84) and US No. 8 in the 400m (55.61).
