On Saturday, The 757 Showdown had over 130 elite performances posted.
But one that stood out in particular was the boys invitational 1K, where we witnessed the top seven times in the nation.
Garnet Valley's (PA) Eric Albright -- who was second to last for much of the early going -- led the field, clocking a nation-leading 1K time of 2:28.96.
The entire field was all within six seconds of Albright. Champion Speed Development's (MD) Isaiah Schulties took home second place in 2:29.12 while Londonderry High School's (NH) Matthew Griffin was third in 2:29.85. Two weeks after setting a national-class freshman record at the distance, Northbirdge freshman Marcus Reilly lowered that mark with a time of 2:29.99.
