While a legendary 2-mile race was playing out front between two powerhouse runners on Sunday, Dadamio --- also a powerhouse -- was quietly having an incredible race in third.
The Stanford recruit scored a US No. 3 effort of 10:13.57, which ranks No. 4 all-time in Michigan history, only behind Erin Finn (10:08.24), Megan Dedering (10:10.14) and Audrey Belf (10:10.90).
Talk about control, too.
The Birmingham Seaholm runner showed perfect poise throughout, holding off an early charge from fourth-place Ava Parekh.
But a day earlier, she was only getting started, hitting another PR of 4:53.13 in the mile. That ranked US No. 4 and No. 10 all-time -- interestingly enough, Audrey's sister, Rachel, is ranked fifth on the all-time Michigan mile list at 4:49.66.
