    Simms, last year's LHSAA indoor state champion, will return to LSU this weekend to set the bar high.

    At the Austin Pole Vault in November, the Live Oak (LA) senior set a new overall personal best of 17-4.75, which is the highest mark so far this year.

    This was almost a 10-inch improvement from last year. His clearance of 16-6 in 2020 was also ranked eighth in the nation.Simms, a University of Kansas signee, will compete at 2:45 pm.
