Most Improved Athlete



Boys Winner: Jackson Watts, Madison-North Hopkins (KY)


The Madison-North Hopkins athlete won the boys most improved athlete hours with 30-percent of the vote.

The Madisonville-North Hopkins senior consistently ran low 15-minute 5Ks this year. He broke through that barrier when he finished in the top 30 at the RunningLane National Cross Country Championships, stopping the clock in 14:57.20 for a new personal best. 

A week prior, he finished 19th at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions. Watts finished both meets with a 185 speed rating. 



Girls Winner: Reese Fahys, East Greenwich (RI)

The East Greenwich High School athlete won the girls most improved athlete honors with just over 36-percent of the tallies

Fahys began her career at East Greenwich this fall after transferring from Middletown South (NJ).

However, she didn't skip a beat ... and won every single meet she ran in over 2020.

At the RIIL Class Championships, she won in 17:56.31, then a week later lowered her time at the RIIL State Championships by 13 seconds. She concluded her sophomore year with a personal best of 17:16.
