The junior won his first AHSAA Class 6A XC State Championship this season when he crossed the line in 15:21.41 for 5K. On the state course at the Oakville Indiana Mounds Park, Brush improved his time 77 seconds year-over-year.
He ran his first sub-15 minute time for 5K when he placed 20th at the RunningLane National Cross Country Championships on Nov. 21, setting a personal best of 14:51.46, which was equivalent to a 187 speed rating on that course.
