We're taking a look at all of the high school track and field stars and ranking the top five college commitments so far this year.

The rankings are a combination of immediate (potential) impact, how well the athlete seemingly fits with their new team, and (of course) overall talent.

Today, we're ranking the boys' commitments.

5. Carson Lenser (Vilonia, AR): South Carolina

We already spoke about Lenser a few weeks ago and broke down the impact of his commitment to South Carolina. The pole vault specialist owns an incredible personal best of 17-0 in the event and will be joining a program that is known for its success in the field events.

However, the Gamecock's pole vault prowess was lacking this past indoor track season and they recently lost one of the better pole vaulters in the nation, Armand Woodley, who finished his eligibility in the spring of 2019.
