Anastacia Gonzales earned National Performer of the Week honors for Week 3.
The Boerne Champion junior earned 68-percent of the votes and nearly 5,000 tallies after having an impressive double of winning both the 800m and 1,500m at the Night Lights meet.
She won both of these events by over 30 seconds. Then, on September 5, she competed at the FEAST Patriot High School Invitational and ran a personal best for 5K at 18:04 to kick off her cross country season.
Now let's move on to Week 4 of the National Performer of the Week (we skipped the Labor Day holiday).
Now that cross country started across the nation, we'll have five candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
