LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- Solano Elite Track Club's (CA) Ruby Ford showcased her speed and endurance in the 200m, 400m and 800m at the AAU West Coast Junior Olympic Games over the weekend.
The 13-year-old from Suisun City, California, won the 400m and 800m events with a time of 58.33 and 2:24.48, respectively and then followed at the end of the meet with a silver medal in the 200m, just 0.01 seconds separated her from the gold medalist Maya Woolforde.
All in all, the young talent put together two good days of performances.
