Desert Dream Last Hurrah To Be Streamed LIVE On MileSplit

More good news, track fans!

The Desert Dream Last Hurrah Invitational, a high school meet created in part due to the cancellations enveloping the spring track and field season, will take place from June 11-13 at Poston Butte High School in Arizona.

MileSplit will LIVE stream the running events Friday through Saturday and will provide coverage of the meet throughout.

In one of the meet's premier event, a total of 11 girls enter the 1,600m with seed times under 5 minutes. More athletes are expected to register before next week and a total of nearly 500 are expected for the event. 

Meet organizers have taken necessary precautions to make sure the event runs smoothly and safely. Health Information is below: 

For Health concerns the following MUST be abided by all participants and spectators: That athletes will only come through one gate.

• Athletes will have to wear a mask at all times that they are not competing.
• Athletes will be allowed one adult to accompany them into the stadium.
• Adults will have to wear a mask at all times.
• Those in attendance will be asked to social distance themselves.
• Temperatures will be taken before entrance.
• Each participant will need a parent permission slip. (will be created later)
• Athletes will be competing as unattached.
• Athletes are encouraged to leave after their event is done.
• No throwing implements will be provided by CHS or the meet.
• Throwing implements, if shared will need to be wiped clean.
• There will be no bull pen.
• Lane assignments will be online at www.wingfootfinish.com.
• Results will be live and located on wingfootfinish.
• Anyone who has been ill or possibly in contact with anyone with Covid-19 will be asked NOT to attend the meet.
