Kansas all-time list: HJ 7'3" (#3)

1996 U.S. Olympic Team HJ

1995 NCAA All-American (HJ)

It would take the jump of his life for Ed Broxterman to make '96 Olympic Team, and that's exactly what he produced. At the 1996 Olympic Trials, Broxterman raised his PR by two inches when he cleared 7'6.5" to secure a spot on the Olympic team.

In Atlanta, Broxterman did not advance out of the prelims in Atlanta. In the process, Broxterman kicked off a line of K-State high jumpers who would make U.S. Olympic teams in 2000 (Leeper), 2012 (Erik Kynard, gold medalist), 2016 (Kynard).

Note: Kynard orignally won the silver but was eventually upgraded following a drug positive by the original winner).
