Belen Jesuit Preparatory School's (FL) Javier Vento 4:11.20 running at the Satellite High Reggie Johnson Memorial meet.


Despite the outdoor season being cut short or outright canceled in some states, athletes were already starting to set new PR's in 2020. 

Leading the way on improvement from 2019 to 2020 was Belen Jesuit Preparatory School (FL) Javier VentoVento ran a 21.93 second PR in the 1600m having run 4:33.13 in 2019 to running 4:11.20 this season. The senior's time currently ranks US No. 4. Another athlete who made an improvement was Skyline High School's (UT), Thomas Boyden. The future Stanford Cardinal clocked the US No. 1 time in the 1600m running a PR of 4:05.1 at the Snow Canyon Invitational. His previous PR was a 4:11.13.
