It was a season of gains for throwers across the senior and junior classes in 2020. 

The country's top two senior athletes in the shot put, Dylan Targgart and Jeff Kline, both improved career best throws by over six feet, while the nation's best girls shot put thrower, Maria Deaviz, boosted her top throw year-over-year by nearly nine feet.
