Athing was always at her best when she was competing, and she set a new national high school record in the 500m, going 1:10.22 in January at the VA Showcase. She also posted bests of 37.36 for 300m and authored a time of 53.14 in the 400m. She never got a chance to seek revenge on her 800m national title at NBNI, but finished with a personal best of 2:04.08. |
