Update 8/3/21: Athing Mu is an Olympic gold medalist. The Trenton, New Jersey-native won the gold medal in the women's 800m on Tuesday night at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in a new American record of 1:55.21. Nearly two years ago, MileSplit traveled to Trenton, New Jersey to spend a few days with Mu as she finished out her high school career.
