Analysis: The Austin Vandegrift rising senior had a bit of a rough state meet his junior year when he finished 19th in Class 6A, but he bounced back big in the postseason. He finished third at the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional and then placed 26th at NXN, just missing All-American. On the track, he made it to the UIL Texas State Meet and placed fourth in the 3200m, running a PR of 9:11.61, and eighth in the 1600m, running 4:18.53.
