Analysis: Nathan Green is the only rising junior on the preseason cross-country rankings and he's earned the spot. Green went practically undefeated during the 2018 cross-country season, with his only regular-season loss being a third-place finish behind two seniors at the Bob Firman Invitational. He won the Class 5A Idaho State Cross Country Championships, running a 5K XC PR of 15:10.07. Then he placed second at the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regional behind only Ashland's (OR) Evan Holland. His track times also back up his cross-country accolades, as he's run 1:55.33 for 800m, 4:06.20 for the full mile, and 9:14.69 for 3200m. His 4:06.20 mile came from Brooks PR Invitational where he placed sixth.
