Analysis: Halladay's season didn't go perfectly, but sometimes they don't have to. She missed a chance at qualifying for her second straight NXN, but she did rebound to earn a spot on the line at Foot Locker Nationals and finished 24th there.
Her season also saw her third straight Idaho Class 5A Cross Country State Championship -- she now has a chance to four-peat -- and a best of 17:08.73 for 5K. Earlier, Halladay scored another big win at the Nike Battle for the 509, hitting 17:25.80 on the clock.
The outdoor campaign was just as good, as Halladay hit for the state triple in the 800m (2:12.04), 1,600m (4:43.74) and 3,200m (10:39.23), while finishing fifth at Brooks PR in June.
Halladay has a chance to go down as one of the best girls distance runners in Idaho history in 2019-2020.
