Over the past five years, the Foot Locker Midwest Region has been one of the strongest of all cross country regions. This year looks to be the same. 

Leading the region rankings are two of the strongest runners in the nation in Valor Christian (CO) High School's Cole Sprout and Niwot (CO) High School's Cruz Culpepper. The duo both have run strong performances on the cross country course as well as on the track. 

Cole Sprout has run sub-9-minutes multiple times for both 3200m and 2-miles as well as clocked a 4:07.20 for the full mile. But don't let his speed fool you, he's a force to be reckoned with on the cross country course as well with a 5K personal best of 14:32.90 from the Nike Desert Twilight Festival
