University High's (WV) Larry Josh Edwards sits top 10 on almost every returning distance list.
The rising sophomore had a stellar freshman cross country campaign, which included top-10 finishes at some of the Northeast's biggest meets. One of his biggest early season performances was a second-place finish at Penn State's Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational. He ran 16 minutes flat. He continued to show consistency time-wise from there, clocking a 16:01.00 at the 26th Annual Carlisle Invitational, a 16:07.78 at the West Virginia State XC Championships, and a 16:22.10 at the Foot Locker South Regional.
