On Episode 13 of MileSplit's On The Line podcast, Cory Mull chats with Zachary High School's Sean Burrell following his two wins in the 200 and 400 meter races at the Louisiana State Track and Field Championships in May.
While he was one of two athletes to run under 46 seconds in the 400m in 2018, and the only returner in the country to have achieved that feat, everything didn't come easy for Burrell this year. A hamstring injury early in the season tapered his expectations, and only until late did the dual-athlete in football and track and field find his footing. Learn how Burrell fought through that adversity, stepped to the line and ran his best races, how he balances two sports so well and considers where his future could go.

Burrell is the No. 5 track and field recruit in the Class of 2020 and he's currently No. 16 on the MileSplit50, a ranking of the top overall athletes of this current season. He will be one of the most heavily sought after athletes -- but first, he has a fall football season to play, and another team championship to go after.
