Harvard Westlake (CA) High School's Natalia and Daniela Quintero finished first and second in the 800m at the Asics Laguna Beach Trophy Invitational on Saturday. The duo ran 2:16.48 and 2:16.69, respectively.
The time is impressive, but even more impressive is the way in which they finished the race to go 1-2. Heading into the final 200m, Dana Hills (CA) senior Jaden Haskins was leading the race. But in the final 150m stretch, Natalia and Daniela took off, opening a 2-3 second gap on the rest of the field.
