When January arrived last year, it signaled the start of a fast year ahead.
And it sure did produce, with a total of 400-plus elite performances going down at the Texas A & M Indoor High School Classic in College Station, Texas.
Elite athletes from Washington, DC, Georgia, Nebraska, Indiana, Illinois, Florida and Texas all descended on the banked 200 meter track at Texas A & M University.
And folks, we're back this year.
Yet again, we're expecting some truly great performances from the meet at Texas A & M, scheduled for January 4-5.

Let's take a look at all what happened in 2018:
- Flight400 sprinter Brian Herron (Atlanta Lakeside) posted a meet record of 21.06 seconds in the 200m, which finished as the fourth fastest time of the 2018 season and Herron's second-best effort. He was one of two athletes who broke 22 seconds in the 200m -- the other, Marcellus Moore, was just a sophomore.
