No. 5: University of Michigan
Top 50 Recruits: No. 3 Nick Foster (MI)
Skinny: The Wolverines' main coup is blue-chip prospect Nick Foster of Ann Arbor Pioneer (MI). Foster could be one of the most versatile mid- to long-distance runners in high school track and field right now.
He's split 54.64 for the open 400m, 1:59.38 for 800m, 4:12.89 for 1600m and 9:06.45 for 3200m. And that was all indoors. Outdoors, the national-caliber runner has gone 1:53.38 for 800m, 4:08.16 for 1600m and 8:54.80 for 3200m. Within his class, he stacks up as one of the best runners in the country.
Brady and Shilgalis are two high-end seniors from Illinois, while Jacobs is an in-state talent who could blossom with the right coaching.
