White Lake Lakeland (MI) High School senior Grace Stark announced her commitment to the University of Florida on Thursday.

The Gators, a nationally elite hurdle program, that in recent years gained the signatures of prep hurdlers Grant Holloway and Cory Poole on the men's side, will add another athlete able to immediately score at the Division I level.

Stark is a multi-talented sprinter and hurdler who's coming off a record performance at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she won a gold medal in the 30-inch 100mH in a wind-aided time of 12.83 seconds. That marked her first run under 13 seconds in any competition at the distance, though she finished the 2018 high school season with the No. 2 time in the country with a wind-legal 13.16 (+1.7).

Stark won two state championships in Michigan in the 100m and set a state record in the 100mH before recording a national title in the 100mH at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. She ran 16 times under 14 seconds in the 100mH and and four times under 13.51 seconds.

The No. 6 ranked recruit on the MileSplit Class Of 2019 Top 50 Girls Recruits ultimately chose Florida over Miami, Michigan, Michigan State and South Carolina.

Stark was the New Balance Nationals Outdoor champion in the 100mH this past spring with a wind-legal time of 13.24.

The senior also holds a wind-legal PR of 11.47 in the 100m and an all-conditions PR of 24.99 in the 200m. Her 11.47 placed her third at New Balance Nationals Outdoors last spring. Over the indoor season she's run the 60mH in 8.05 and the 60m dash in 7.40.

Grace will be coached by Mike Holloway, who mentored Grassfield (VA) graduate Grant Holloway to four national titles in the hurdles, including a collegiate record in the 60mH (7.42) indoor hurdles.
