Now that we're over a month into the season and with another month to go, it's clear that the script remains the same: Peak to Peak is The Team To Beat.
Led by the defending state champion Quinn McConnell, there doesn't appear to be anyone not wearing blue who can challenge.
As of September 25, Peak to Peak looks in prime position to duplicate last year's 1-2-3 finish at state.
McConnell's 17:38 leads the state by an impressive 43 seconds. It's currently her only 5k of the season, but it speaks volumes, given how far ahead of everyone else she is.
And when I write "everyone else," I'm referring to her own teammates, who come in No. 2 and No. 3. Anna Shults has run 18:21 at Liberty Bell, which was just ahead of Tiana Bradfield's 18:26.
