Athlete: Easton Allred

School: Mountain Vista, Colorado
Analysis: Easton Allred was one of the top guys for Rock Canyon High School (CO) during the 2017 cross country season. This year he has transferred to Mountain Vista High School where, due to transfer rules in Colorado, he will be unable to run regular season meets for his team. He should be able to compete in races like NXN and Foot Locker, but we may not see much of him until then.
During the 2017 cross country season, Allread was third at the NXN Southwest Region finishing behind eventually NXN national champion Aidan Troutner and fellow Colorado athlete Cole Sprout form Valor Christian High School. At nationals, Allread was 22nd in Portland.
On the track in 2018 Allread was only 8.34 seconds off of eclipsing the sub-9-minute 3200m barrier when he ran 9:08.34 to take third in the seeded boys 3200m race. The rising junior was also the Colorado State Track and Field Championships Class 5A third-place finisher in the 1600m running 4:18.67 and the 3200m running 9:15.36. Once he gets racing in meets he should have a strong impact on the rankings.
