When it comes down to making one final move this fall on grass, who's going to have the kick to surge ahead? 

We've looked at the best open 400m and 800m splits of the top returners in the girls 5K heading into the 2018 cross country season to determine what we may see out there on grass, dirt, trails and everything else. Keep in mind, our statistics are based on times we have in our system and the lists are calculated based on current times from the past season. 

So who's got the best kick? 

Based on data we've polled, the athlete with the best kick is none other than Athing Mu, who just finished up a sterling season on the track at the AAU Junior Olympics and owns the top open 400m and 800m times of these lists. However, the Trenton Central athlete only ran in one cross country event last season.
