20.
Team: North Central (WA)
Analysis: The reigning Class 3A champs out of Spokane, Washington return four out of their top five, including state champion Erinn Hill, a junior who ran a best of 17:55.30 in that state title race. Importantly, those four runners all have multiple years left in high school, which means this might be the beginning of a very serious run of national-level performances from the Pacific Northwest squad.
While Hill has dipped under 18 minutes, juniors Mia Hill and Marie Taylor and sophomore Allie Janke are just a few seconds behind and makeup a dangerous combination. Behind Hill, the trio finished 6-7-8 at the state meet in identical 18:24.20 times. This team could dangerous right from the get-go and has the potential to win NXR Northwest.
