EUGENE, Ore. - Chalonda Goodman and Anastasia Jelmini each won their second events of the competition Saturday at the 2009 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.

Chalonda Goodman, who won the women's 100m yesterday, won her second title of the meet in cruising to victory in the women's 200m in a windy 22.74 (+2.6mps). Texas A&M's Dominique Duncan took the runner-up position in 23.18. The University of North Texas' Keyth Talley won the men's 200m in 20.86 (+2.4) and Keith Ricks of Virginia Tech was second in 21.28.
Yesterday's shot put champion Anastasia Jemlini won her second-consecutive women's discus title. The 2009 Gatorade Athlete of the Year, Jelmini won the competition with her first throw of 53.30 meters/174 feet 10 inches. 2009 Nike Outdoor National runner-up Erin Pendleton was the runner-up once again with a toss of 51.65m/169-5. Mason Finley won the men's discus in meet record fashion, tossing the disc 62.26 meters/204 feet 3 inches.
2008 World Junior champion Marquise Goodwin won the men's long jump for the second year in a row on his only legal jump with a mark of 7.96m/26-1.5. Just a few hours later, Goodwin came back and competed in the open men's long jump and took fifth with a national high school record jump of 8.18m/26-10. American junior triple jump record holder Will Claye was the runner-up in the junior long jump with a mark of 7.80m/25-7.25. On the women's side, Alitta Boyd won with a leap of 6.28m/20-7.25.
In her first 5,000m on the track, Cornwall, N.Y., high school sophomore Aisling Cuffe won the women's 5,000m 16:43.48. Another high school sophomore, this time from Cedar Park, Texas, Parker Stinson won the men's 10,000m in 31:18.13.
Trevor Barron dominated the men's 10,000m race walk, winning by over two minutes, as he crossed the line in 43:36:38. Maya Pressley won the women's high jump with a clearance of 1.82m/5-11.5 and South Florida's Casey Wagner won the women's javelin throw with a best mark of 45.71m/150-0.
In qualifying rounds, 2007 World Youth champion Dalilah Muhammad had the fastest time in the women's 400m hurdles first round (58.67) and 2007 World Youth silver medalist Reggie Wyatt was the fastest man in 51.32. Baylor's Diamond Richardson leads the women's 400m finalists with 54.07 and Tavaris Tate was the quickest man over a quarter mile today in 46.37.
2008 USATF Youth Athlete of the Year Jordan Hasay won her heat of the women's 1,500m in 4:28.96. Blake Shaw has the top time in the men's 1,500m (3:50.75) heading into the final tomorrow. Chanelle Price posted the fastest women's 800m in the rounds with 2:06.32 and Washington State's Joe Abott was the fastest man at 1:49.78.
