At the 2017 KTCCCA Middle School State Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, Graves County Middle School's (KY) Sophie Galloway ran the 300mH (30) meet record time of 46.48. Galloway also holds the third-fastest ever 300mH time in meet history from 2017 when she ran 48.38.
In the same race in 2017, Makya Mudd of Bardstown Middle School (KY) ran the second-fastest time in meet history clocking in at 48.25. Galloway, who is now in high school, is now one of the top long and triple jumpers in the state of Kentucky.
