In 2015 at the Golden South Classic -- now FloGolden South Classic --Patriot High School's(VA) Rachel McArthur and Fort Collin's (CO) Lauren Gregory ran two of the top times in meet history in the mile.
McArthur snagged the win, running 4:48.65, while Gregory was just behind her in 4:49.5. Their times are second and third in the past decade at Golden South only behind Lily Williams of Chiles High Schol (FL) who ran 4:46.15 in 2012.
