Tamari Davis left her first Florida High School Athletic Associations last week as a certified star, and it wasn't long after when she earned National Performer of the Week honors.
The Gainesville (FL) freshman, who earned a Class 3A championship in the 200m in a 15-year-old world age group record of 22.48 seconds, grabbed 62-percent of the vote to walk away with the weekly recognition.
But this won't be the last we hear of Davis this spring and summer, either. The freshman is reportedly headed to Flo Golden South and then will likely feature in a few more national caliber events.
So stay tuned.
But on to this week's candidates.
