It was a crazy mile race at the Flashes Showcase on Friday in Indianapolis.
After Hamilton Southeastern (IN) High's Gabe Fendel took an early lead, Fort Wayne's Jesse Hamlin started to take control down the stretch.
But in the final moments, it was neither and Evansville Memorial's Matthew Schadler threw down a nasty kick to take the overall title in 4:13.70. Hamlin was second in 4:13.92 and Indianapolis Cathedral's Cole Hocker was third in 4:14.52.
