The New Balance Azusa Meet of Champions saw one of the best kicks of the weekend from Mira Costa High School's (CA) Xavier Court. Court put in a strong last-lap kick to overtake Redlands East Valley High's (CA) Elias Opsahl. Opsahl led for the majority of the race, but Court and the pack caught him in the last 100m after an amazing solo effort to try to take the race from the gun.
Court finished with a time of 4:15.90 to take the win while Opsahl finished fifth running 4:19.20.
