5. Louie Bing Brings Down The House In Miami
While the rest of the country is finishing out its indoor seasons, some states are already heading outdoors and going after big times.
One of the biggest meets with the brightest stars this weekend was the Louie Bing Classic in Miami, where we saw over a handful of US No. 1 performances go down, including all-time performances from February.
Florida often sets the precedent for the outdoor season, as its athletes -- along with Texas -- begin training for the season as early as January.
But there's no doubt this year's version of Louie Bing was special.
American Heritage's Anthony Schwartz dropped February's fastest 100m on record, going 10.38 and 10.33 over two rounds to win the 100m, then dropped a 20.91 in the 200m. His 4x100m relay squad also ran a blazing time of 40.31 seconds, which was just 0.27 seconds shy of its 40.17 best from 2017.
But the squad wasn't done there. They went 40.31 in the finals.
