Boys 800m
This will be a fantastic race, highlighted by some big-time national names and up-and-comers.
The race within the race will be how Hasty and Horter will battle -- the pair are known more for their ability past the mile distance than in the 800m -- and whether they will be able to keep up with Colin and Keaton Jones, who could take out the pace.
Colin Jones set a then-US No. 1 at the Vanderbilt High School Indoor Invitational on Feb. 3 in 1:54.18 and his brother, Keaton, wasn't far behind in 1:54.43. Hasty actually did the same, setting a then-US No. 1 mark in January at Vanderbilt's Great 8 Invitational amongst collegiate talent, finishing in 1:54.30, so the future Oregon recruit could have the leg speed and pacing strategy to win this, too.
