Full Throttle track club's Tia Jones dropped the No. 5 all-time mark in the 60mH on Saturday at the Dunamis Super Meet in Atlanta. Jones dropped an 8.15 in the 60mH finals for the fifth-fastest all-time high school performance and the sixth-fastest performer ever.
Jones now sits ahead of Jackie Coward on the all-time list (8.16) and just behind Chanel Brissett, Alexis Duncan, and Tara Davis who all ran 8.14 over the past two years.
Her time is now the fastest time in the nation this year. Jones wasn't the only athlete who ran a big national level performance in the 60mH at the Dunamis Super Meet. Emily Sloan from FK Elite finished just behind Jones running US No 2, while Shadajah Ballard ran US No. 4 and Darci Khan ran the fifth-fastest time in the nation this year.
