Maxwell Willis, a 2016 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School (DC), ran one of the fastest 200m times ever on the oversized track at the SPIRE Institute. Willis ran 21.08 to win the 2016 SPIRE Scholastic Showcase. That same year he went on to run 21.04 on the oversized track at the UK High School Invitational.
This year we should see more quick times in the 200m, especially on the girl's side from names like Dublin Coffman's (OH) Abby Steiner and Lanae-Tava Thomas from Rush Henrietta Sperry (NY). You can watch all the action live on MileSplit Sunday, February 11.
