Denver (CO) Lightning's Arria Minor lowered her U.S. No. 1 200m time on Friday evening at the Air Force High School Open.
Minor had previously run a U.S. No. 1 mark of 23.45 at the Nite Moves Kickoff, but she lowered that time to 23.43 in the 200m dash prelims. With her time she also moves up to the seventh fastest performer all-time and eleventh fastest time all-time just behind Tiffany Townsend of Killeen, Texas. Minor would end up winning the finals on Saturday night in 23.71. Her prelim time also beats her own meet record of 23.91, which she set last year.
Minor also ran in the 60m dash, where she ran 7.42 in the prelims, 7.43 in the semis, and 7.37 in the finals. Her finals time of 7.37 would rank U.S. No. 1 if she didn't already have the U.S. No. 1 time with her 7.30 performance from the Nite Moves Kickoff.
