Boys 55m Dash
Current Record: 6.08
Current Record Holder: Marvin Bracy (Boone, Orlando, Florida)
Year Record Was Set: 2012
Why: If this were run by a high schooler this year, it would not only be the fastest time prep mark in the US but also in the world. Currently, Elijah Ross holds the world-leading mark with his 6.27. The top high school mark is currently 6.34, held by Potomac Senior High School's (VA) Bryan Ahouman, who ran that mark at the Stafford Winter Invite back on December 2. So, don't bet on it.
The last time a high schooler came close to breaking the national record was in 2015 and 2016 by Ryan Clark of Banneker, Georgia, and TC Williams (VA) High graduates Noah and Josephus Lyles, who all ran 6.20.
