Go to 9:30 mark in the video to watch the crazy kick.
Last year the Montgomery Invitational saw six MileSplit elite performances in the 3200m. The finals came down to a crazy kick between Rohann Asfaw from Rockville and Ryan Lockett from Poolesville High School. Just before the last lap, the race turned in to a 200m sprint when Asfaw flipped a switch to drop a gnarly kick.
Asfaw ended up taking the win, but Lockett was not far off as he was less than five milliseconds behind. Asfaw now runs for the University of Virginia, but Lockett will again be racing at this year's Montgomery Invitational.
Don't miss any of this year's big highlights and exciting action from the Montgomery Invitational, which you can catch live on Milesplit.
